Does the LIDS RPM contain the required lidstool packages? If you need to install it, where is the kernel to pass in the config file.

As per my understanding, this does not contain lidstool package. You need to download kernel source and pass the the following commands to get lidstool configured with lidsadm and lidsconf on your system.

./configure KERNEL_DIR=<source of linux kernel>
make
make install
